La Savane des Esclaves—an open-air museum dedicated to the history of Martinique—won a 2018 Travelers’ Choice award from TripAdvisor, where it is currently ranked as one of the top three museums in the Caribbean.

Travel back in time

Located in a sprawling park in Trois-Ilets, the site features reconstructed indigenous and Creole villages along with exhibits detailing what life was like on the island during and after the slavery era.
