Passengers in transit
Citizens of the European Economic Community, the United States, Canada and Japan are authorized to disembark in Martinique without a visa. Passengers requiring a visa must hold one of the following:
- a currently valid Schengen visa, regardless of the terms of the visa and the issuing country.
- a valid visa for the United States.
- a currently valid residence permit issued by a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco or San Marino.
- or a currently valid residence permit issued by Canada, Japan, or the United States of America.
For passengers who do not meet the above conditions, a pass may be issued in their favor by the prefecture of Martinique. For this purpose, a separate list with all details (names, dates of birth, passport numbers, etc.) as well as copies of the corresponding passports must be provided by the vessel to its Shipping Agent, who will send to the prefecture at least 48 hours before the arrival of the ship. If the list is not received on time, the passengers concerned will have to remain on board.
Passengers starting their cruise in Martinique
Passengers requiring a visa will not be allowed to start their cruise in Martinique if they do not have the appropriate immigration documents.
Passengers finishing their cruise in Martinique
For nationalities requiring a visa, their passports will need to be stamped by immigration officials before leaving the ship.
